Typograph and Fontself

FontselfFrom their website

Fontself is a plugin for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, plus an iPad app. It turns lettering you have already drawn into an OTF font.

It costs $39 one time.

TypographStart from letters, not from nothing

Typograph works the other way round from a classic font editor. You start from a template, or describe the typeface you want, and then tune the letterforms.

It is trained on 50,000 hand drawn glyphs, supports 66 languages and runs in the browser. You own full rights to the fonts you make.

Time for a family of 10 weights is our own estimate for an experienced designer making a Latin typeface with spacing and kerning, not a figure from the makers. Real projects vary.
